Syndicated
Mortgage - A single mortgage for which two or more
investors have invested money directly on a single
property.
Syndicated Investor
- An investor who invests in a syndicated mortgage.
Syndicated investors may be individuals, corporations, or
trusts.
Investor Portal -
Our investor portal provides a list of mortgages that are available
for you to invest in. You may choose to invest with as little as
$25,000 up to the full amount of the mortgage posted. Each mortgage
on our portal will vary in regards to location, loan to value, rate
of return, term, property type and mortgage position. New
opportunities are added to the portal frequently. To gain
access to our portal you will need to provide your name, email
address, and phone number. This allows us to track who
is accessing the information and protect the privacy of the
borrowers. You will be added to our email list to
receive information additional mortgage investment opportunities
through us but we will not share your information with
anyone. You will have the ability to unsubscribe from
the emails at any time.
Dealing
Representative - An individual who is licensed
under an Exempt Market Dealer to sell Exempt Products such as MICs
and Syndicated Mortgage investments, among others type of
investments.
Exempt Product -
Investment products that are not required to have a Prospectus, but
rather must fall under an exemption such as having an Offering
Memorandum, investments of at least $150,000 per investor,
accredited investors, or Friends/Family/Business Associates.
Eligible
Investor:
- A person who meets at least one of the following criteria
- A person who's net assets, alone or with a spouse, exceeds Four
Hundred Thousand Dollars($400,000.00)
- A person who's net income before taxes exceeds Seventy-Five
Thousand ($75,000.00) Dollars in each of the two most recent
calendar years and who reasonably expects to exceed that income
level in the current calendar year, or who's net income before
taxes combined with that of a spouse exceeds One Hundred and
Twenty-Five Thousand ($125,000.00) Dollars in each of the two most
recent calendar years and who reasonably expects to exceed that
income level in the current calendar year.
- A person of which a majority of the voting securities are
beneficially owned by eligible subscribers or a majority of the
directors are eligible subscribers.
- A person who has a general partnership in which all of the
partners are eligible subscribers.
- A person who has a limited partnership in which the majority of
the general partners are eligible subscribers
- A person who has a trust or estate in which all of the
beneficiaries or a majority of the trustees are eligible
subscribers.
- A person or company that has obtained advice regarding the
suitability of the investment (for residents of all provinces
except British Columbia)
Accredited Investor -
Investors who are financially sophisticated. In
order for an individual to qualify as an accredited
investor, he or she must accomplish at least one of
the following:
- earn an individual income of more than $200,000 per year, or a
joint income of $300,000, in each of the last two years and
expect to reasonably maintain the same level of income.
- have a net worth exceeding $1 million, either individually or
jointly with his or her spouse (not including the value
of the principal residence).
- be a general partner, executive officer, director or a related
combination thereof for the issuer of a security being
offered.
