Munir Virani, CA, Chief Executive Officer
Munir brings strong leadership, passion and innovation to the
Westpoint team and is generally credited with the unique "Investor
paid first" concept around which the capital management strategy of
Westpoint was built. Munir has extensive business and
corporate experience, establishing and growing numerous small and
medium sized enterprises.
He served as the Director of Finance for a large national retailer
during which time he was responsible for taxation, treasury and
financial reporting of a consolidated group of companies with
revenues in excess of $1 billion per annum. Munir was
involved with securing and managing syndicated credit facilities in
excess of $100 million, and implemented various corporate
restructuring and tax optimization initiatives adding considerable
value to the group of companies. In addition, he was
instrumental in executing an initial public offering where the
group of companies was valued in excess of $500 million.
Munir graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of
Commerce degree. He furthered his professional
education by obtaining his Chartered Accountant Designation while
working with Deloitte and Touche, a multi-national professional
services firm.

Curtis Power, CA, Chief Financial Officer
Curtis brings significant financial accounting, managerial, and
internal controls development experience to the Westpoint
team. Curtis earned his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation
in November 2002. He started his accounting career in Calgary
as an auditor with Ernst & Young LLP. From there he moved
to the firm's Hamilton, Bermuda office and worked as an Audit
Manager servicing clients in the financial services industry.
His clients included public companies and subsidiaries of public
companies listed on the New York and Toronto stock exchanges, with
market capitalizations ranging from $3 billion - $40 billion.
He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor
of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting and a minor in
Finance. Since returning to Canada from Bermuda in late 2007,
he has worked as a Senior Manager at a local accounting firm,
servicing private corporations and individuals. There he
focused on corporate and personal tax planning, preparation of
financial statements, and assisting shareholders of owner managed
businesses.

Matt Oberle, Chief Lending Officer
Matt has a wealth of experience in all facets of the mortgage
industry, including positions in lending, brokering, and
management. Matt carries a broker license under the Real
Estate Council of Alberta and remains active in the industry.
He has worked for over 4 years as an associate broker with two
different companies before starting his own brokerage, which he
owned for 5 years. In his subsequent role as an Account
Executive of an American/Canadian lender, he earned #1 status in
sales volume across Canada. Most recently, his position as an
Underwriter / Business Development Officer for a private mortgage
lender that turns over more than $80 million dollars in capital
annually, has given Matt a unique perspective and understanding of
the mortgage industry. Matt has also been managing a
portfolio of investment properties since 1996 and has been
instrumental in various construction projects from the ground
up.

Marnie Centeno, Chief Operations Officer
With more than 9 years of experience in the financial industry,
Marnie has held positions with Revenue Canada, Scotiabank, Dominion
Lending Centres, and most recently as the Broker/Owner of Executive
Financial Corp. She also worked as a public relations liaison
in Yucatan, Mexico and then as a financing consultant for a medium
sized property developer in Dubai, UAE. After completing a
major in Finance, Marnie returned to the University of Alberta to
complete a degree which focused on finance and trade in Latin
America. Marnie maintains Broker status under the Real Estate
Council of Alberta and holds association memberships with the
Alberta Mortgage Broker's Association and the Canadian Association
of Accredited Mortgage Professionals

Miguel Schraeder, Chief Technology Officer
Technology is a critical platform that the management team at
Westpoint Capital is firmly committed to. Miguel Schraeder's
expertise lies in his ability to utilize technology effectively and
efficiently to create significant cost savings which enables us to
pass high yield returns on to our investors. Miguel has over
10 years experience developing fully customized software and web
application. Most recently his team at Pure Logic Solutions has
developed a complex on-line Quality Control Management System for
Highway Technical Engineering Services, the quality control team
for projects such as the multi million dollar Edmonton and Calgary
Ring Roads. Miguel's previous employers include The London Stock
Exchange, AS&K Partnership, Telus, and Alberta Agriculture.
Miguel graduated from the Computer Systems Technology program at
NAIT on the Dean's honour roll and continues to expand his skills
by adopting new and innovative technologies and techniques.
